ISO 50001 and ESOS

If you have an energy management system certified to ISO50001 that covers all your ‘significant energy consumption’ you are able to move straight to director sign off and inform the EA of your compliance.

If you have an energy management system certified to ISO50001 standards that only covers parts of your organisation, you will need to carry out additional audits using one of the options above to cover the rest of your organisation.

Note that your lead assessor will not need to review any elements covered by your ISO50001 certified energy management system but they will need to review anything not covered by this, DECs or GDAs.
