ESOS Routes to Compliance

There are a number of routes which can be taken to demonstrate compliance, such as:

• ESOS Energy Audits
• ISO 500001 certification
• Display Energy Certificates (DECs); and
• Green Deal Assessments

Audit work undertaken as part of other energy audit schemes may also be included if conducted within the compliance period e.g. Carbon Trust Standard, Logistics, Carbon Reduction Scheme, and Green Deal Fleet Reviews.

You can choose to adopt a single compliance route or a number of routes but you must ensure that the selected route(s) covers all your areas of significant energy consumption.
