The Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory energy assessment scheme for ‘large undertakings’ (and corporate groups) throughout the UK.

ESOS requires participants to:

• Measure their total energy consumption
• Conduct energy audits
• Report compliance

ESOS will operate on 4 yearly compliance periods, so a new assessment needs to be carried out in each period.
