Confirming compliance with the Environment Agency
You will need to submit a formal notification to the Environment Agency on or before the compliance date stating that you have met the requirements of ESOS via an online notification system which will become operational in 2015.
You will need to include some basic details about your compliance to allow the Environment Agency to follow up and check compliance and, if necessary, undertake enforcement activities.
As part of your notification you will need to include the following basic details with information regarding:
1. the participant
2. any aggregation or disaggregation that has taken place
3. the lead auditor
4. the ESOS Assessment
You must also notify the relevant scheme compliance body of a breach in compliance as soon as you become aware of it.
